A city in Essex County, Massachusetts, Haverhill was once called Pentucket, after the Pentucket Indians form whom the land was purchased from in 1642. It was renamed Haverhill just before the city evolved into an important industrial center. It was once known as the “Queen Slipper City” for its significant shoemaking industry.
Today, many of the old factories in Haverhill are being cleaned up and converted into apartments. As the city grows, so does the workforce. Many who work day in and day out tend to look for various ways to de-stress, and one of the best ways to do that is to have a pool installed in their backyards.
